Keeps asking after the coverage stops.

Post a question worth knowing. Sempra gathers what's been sourced against it and tells you when that changes.

What's here right now

Not much. Sempra is being rebuilt, and this page is standing in for it while that happens.

The earlier version was a community fact-checking site: submit a claim, vote on whether it's true, wait for an expert. It shipped, then its backend was taken down, and the parts that needed a crowd were never going to work without one. So the unit is changing. Instead of claims you vote on, Sempra tracks questions you care about, keeps a page of what's actually been sourced for and against each one, and says what would settle it. It never rules on whether the answer is true. That is deliberate: the useful, defensible thing is the evidence and its provenance, not a verdict.

Most of what a news story asserts gets stated once and never followed up. The correction, the filing, the study that lands eight months later, the quiet edit nobody flags. Sempra is an attempt to keep the question open until the evidence closes it.

There's nothing to sign up for. It'll be public and free to read when it's real.
